Dendera and Luxor tour from Marsa Alam.

By choosing this excursion, you will visit two historical cities of Luxor and Dendera, the latter famous for its Temple complex, which was built of sandstone. Inside is a huge Hypostyle Hall with 24 columns crowned with images of the goddess of love and heaven, Hathor. Astronomical scenes are depicted on the ceiling, and on the walls – a description of the royal visit to the temple. On the roof of the temple there were several small sanctuaries of Osiris, it was there that the unique zodiac and solar disc were discovered. The temple is also famous for the interesting Dendera lamp bas-reliefs.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the city of Luxor, ride a boat on the Nile River, which divides the city into 2 parts. Their names are very symbolic. In the east is the “City of the Living”, where the pharaohs lived and erected their temples. In the west – the “City of the Dead”, where all the burial temples and tombs, carved right in the mountains, were located.
