The 2-day Cairo-Alexandria tour from Hurghada is a dream come true for all travelers who are interested in history. Once there was an Alexandrian lighthouse – one of the 7 wonders of the world.
After the conquest of Egypt, Alexander the Great decided to build a new capital, named after him. Over time, maritime trade developed strongly and it was decided to build a large lighthouse here. It took over 20 years to build! In the end, we got the tallest building in the ancient world (except for the pyramids). The Faro lighthouse was able to work for more than one and a half thousand years! Unfortunately, in the end it was destroyed by several earthquakes.
